At Garstang Community Primary School we treasure each and every one of our pupils. We create inspirational learning opportunities in a vibrant, supportive environment in which our pupils grow together and are excited about their future in an ever changing world.
Aims of our school|
Once again our children boogied to Christmas tunes to raise money for Brian House Hospice. They enjoyed their flashing noses and jingling antlers, thank you to everyone who donated this year.
30 children from Years 5 and 6 took part in two dance festivals, one at the Charter Theatre in Preston and one in the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. Everyone had a great time showing of their skills.
Oak Class Librarian Training|
On Wednesday Mrs Monk, from the School Library Service, came to train our new Oak Class librarians. The group will use their newly acquired skills to help the younger children in school to find books and research a topic. Our librarians are also responsible for keeping our beautiful library organised and neat and for making book recommendations.
Every child in school was presented with a copy of 'Garstang's Great War Heroes' by local authors Paul G Smith and Anthony Coppin.
